Hello and welcome to Black Market Gaming’s first ever weekly newsletter. These newsletters will be used to make the community aware of updates, partnerships, issues, community concerns and any other information relating to the project and its future.

Project Rebrand

Black Market Gaming / Carnage TCG will have a rebrand coming. This will be in conjunction with a platform rework, as well as a shift in our projects targets and goals. The Black Market Gaming (BMG) Brand will be kept but only in terms of the name of our game development company / production company. The official projects name will be rebranded into Defi Wars and will focus on our trading card game that is in development which will use the title Defi Wars as well.

Potential Token Swap

With a rebrand comes a potential token swap. This will be to address a multitude of issues namely that it requires a few complex calculations in order to determine our market cap / circulating supply with the current BMG token because of the tokens sitting in wallets from failed DXsale auctions etc. which also makes it much more difficult to align our supply / market cap with Coingecko / Coinmarketcap. A token swap can potentially resolve these issues and at the same time allow us to modify our tokenomics accordingly to better align with our new goals and utilities.

More details specifically pertaining to a token swap will have its own, clear announcement to relay all information simply and effectively to the community.

Carnage TCG updates

Our trading card game that is in development (Carnage) will be rebranded into Defi wars. This is because our new intention involving the game is to partner with a multitude of other projects, offering opportunities for each project to have its own micro set / rare cards enabling other projects to be advertised and represented in game by its community members. This will bring a unique competitiveness to the game by motivating users of other projects to participate by representing their favorite projects in our game and in our tournaments. Gameplay will remain exactly as originally intended and BMG studios will of course maintain the Carnage: Abominations set and future sets of Defi wars cards in order to constantly create new meta’s, card skills and gameplay mechanics to continuously evolve the gameplay of Defi wars into the best trading card game that it can be.

More details specifically on Carnage rebrand X Defi wars and future gameplay including Play to Earn specifics will be released in its own announcement in the near future.

Near future game plan

Our primary goal for the short term is to:

Finalize rebrand imaging and officially announce / rebrand
Devise and release token swap plans and confirm satisfaction with BMG holders to facilitate a fair, easy token swap.
Finalize first gameplay samples for Defi wars to demonstrate to the community.
Advertise rebrand and gameplay samples to the defi community and continue with regular marketing.

An official roadmap for the end of 2021 and the entire year of 2022 will be released to provide a better guide to our future plans for BMG studios / Defi wars.

Weekly issue addressing

We will also be utilizing these weekly newsletters to keep the community up to date with all issues / complaints that have been brought to our attention and how / when we plan to resolve these issues. The chart below shows this past weeks complaints.

Concerns

State of the discord:
Our discord was intended primarily to enable off-chain gamers to connect with each other independent of the forum, However with the changes coming to the project and the removal of off-chain trade facilitation we will most likely move away from / close the discord in order to keep our primary focus on telegram and have that as our primary source of contact / interaction within the community.

Outdated Roadmap:
Our updated roadmap was included with the Polycon slides. However we will be reworking our entire Litepaper to reflect our rebrand and new goals. This information will be finalized and released in the coming week on or before 10/15/2021.

NFT sale info:
There are currently not any NFT sale’s live so we are unsure of what information that interesting parties are looking for. If this question / concern pertains to you please contact mark to express more specific concerns and they will be addressed accordingly.

A link to the latest Abominations collection will be added to the site when the updated Litepaper is uploaded as well. We will keep our forum and re-organize it in accordance with our future goals and relevant topics.
